Instructions

  1. Preheat oven & prepare pan
    • Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Make the cream cheese filling
    • In a small bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the batter
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
    • Stir in sour cream.
    • Fold in dry ingredients just until combined. Gently fold in blueberries.
  4. Layer the bread
    • Pour half the batter into the prepared pan.
    • Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top and gently swirl with a knife.
    • Add the remaining batter on top and swirl again lightly.
    • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    • If the top browns too fast, tent with foil after 35–40 minutes.
  6. Cool & serve
    • Let cool in the pan 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
    • Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
