Peach cobbler

Posted on January 24, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic peach cobbler recipe for you!

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 6-8 ripe peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

For the topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the filling:
In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch (if using). This will create a thick, syrupy mixture once it cooks. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Make the topping:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract, and stir until combined. The batter will be thick but pourable.
  4. Assemble the cobbler:
Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches. Don’t worry if it doesn’t completely cover the peaches — it will spread as it bakes.
  5. Bake:
Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly. You can test by inserting a toothpick into the center of the topping—if it comes out clean, it’s done!
  6. Serve:
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. It’s fantastic on its own, but even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!

Enjoy!
