Walking Taco lasagna

Okay, this is a fun, slightly chaotic, comfort-food mashup and I’m here for it 😄
Here’s a Walking Taco Lasagna—all the flavors of a walking taco, baked like a lasagna.


🌮🍲 Walking Taco Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 can black beans, drained & rinsed (optional)
  • 1 cup corn (optional)
  • 1½ cups crushed tortilla chips or Fritos
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or Colby-Jack)
  • 1 cup salsa or taco sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream (or queso for extra indulgence)

Toppings (after baking)

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Sliced olives
  • Green onions
  • Jalapeños
  • Extra sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook meat in a skillet until browned. Drain fat.
    Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
    Add beans and corn if using.
  3. Layer the lasagna:
    • Layer 1: Crushed chips
    • Layer 2: Taco meat
    • Layer 3: Salsa + dollops of sour cream
    • Layer 4: Cheese
      Repeat layers once more.
  4. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and melted.
  5. Let rest 5 minutes, then top with fresh toppings.

  • Use Fritos for true walking-taco vibes
  • Add a layer of refried beans for extra heartiness
  • Serve with crunchy chips on the side to scoop
