Here’s a Classic Cherry Delight recipe — a no-bake, old-fashioned dessert that’s creamy, sweet, and perfect for gatherings 🍒

Classic Cherry Delight

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

Topping

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Make the crust
    • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
    • Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
    • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the cream layer
    • Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
    • Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
    • Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  3. Assemble
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
    • Spoon cherry pie filling over the top.
  4. Chill
    • Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is even better).
  5. Serve
    • Slice and serve chilled.

Tips & Variations

  • 🍓 Swap cherry filling for strawberry, blueberry, or raspberry.
  • 🧈 For a firmer crust, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, then cool completely.
  • 🥄 Add a thin layer of chocolate chips or drizzle chocolate syrup under the cherries.

If you’d like a smaller batch, no–Cool Whip version, or an old-school Southern variation, just let me know!
