Ingredients

- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon or yellow mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
Onion Gravy
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: 1 tsp ketchup or soy sauce (adds depth)
Instructions
- Make the Patties
In a bowl, gently mix all steak ingredients until just combined.
Shape into 4–6 oval patties. - Brown the Patties
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown patties 3–4 minutes per side (they don’t need to be fully cooked).
Remove and set aside. - Cook the Onions
In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add onions and cook over medium heat until soft and golden, about 8–10 minutes. - Make the Gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire, and optional ketchup/soy sauce.
Simmer until thickened. - Finish Cooking
Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them.
Cover and simmer 10–15 minutes, until patties are cooked through.
