Slow Cooker Creamy Ranch Potatoes

Posted on February 13, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a rich, comforting Slow Cooker Creamy Ranch Potatoes recipe — perfect as a side dish for chicken, beef, or holiday meals.

🥔 Slow Cooker Creamy Ranch Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2½–3 lbs baby potatoes (red or Yukon gold), halved
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix (like Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Mix)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (such as Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Soup)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)
  • ¼ cup milk (if needed for thinning)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes
Wash and halve the baby potatoes. No need to peel.
  2. Layer in slow cooker
Add potatoes to the slow cooker. Sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the top.
  3. Make it creamy
In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and sour cream until mostly smooth. Spread over potatoes.
  4. Cook
    Cover and cook:

    • Low: 5–6 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
      Until potatoes are fork-tender.
  5. Finish
Stir gently. Add cheddar cheese if using and let melt for 10–15 minutes.
If too thick, stir in a little milk.
  6. Serve
Season with salt & pepper and garnish with parsley.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Crumbled bacon
  • Diced cooked chicken
  • Chopped green onions
  • A dash of garlic powder or paprika

If you’d like, I can also give you:

  • A lighter/healthier version
  • A “dump-and-go” 5-ingredient version
  • Or a cheesy bacon ranch version 😋
