Crockpot Cola Ham

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Crockpot Cola Ham—sweet, savory, and perfectly tender.

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 4–6 lbs)
  • 2 cups cola (regular, not diet)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for a slight tang)
  • Whole cloves (optional, for studding)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ham:
    • If your ham has a rind, score it in a diamond pattern.
    • Optionally, stud the intersections with whole cloves for extra flavor.
  2. Mix the Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, combine cola, brown sugar, honey, and mustard. Stir until smooth.
  3. Cook in the Crockpot:
    • Place the ham in the slow cooker, cut side down if spiral-sliced.
    • Pour the cola mixture over the ham.
    • Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours (or high for 2–3 hours), until heated through and tender.
  4. Optional Glaze Finish:
    • For a caramelized top, remove ham from crockpot and brush with extra glaze.
    • Place under a broiler for 5–10 minutes until slightly browned.
  5. Serve:
    • Slice and drizzle with the remaining juices from the crockpot.

💡 Tips:

  • Cola adds sweetness and a subtle caramel flavor; you can also use root beer for a slightly different taste.
  • Save leftover ham juices to make a quick sauce or glaze for sandwiches.

If you want, I can also give a quick version for a 2–3 lb ham that’s perfect for small families and keeps the crockpot cleanup minimal. Do you want me to do that?
