Cheddar Bay Crab Stuffed Biscuits

Posted on March 10, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious recipe for Cheddar Bay Crab Stuffed Biscuits—a savory, cheesy, and slightly garlicky treat:

Ingredients:

For the biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

For the crab filling:

  • 1 cup crab meat, drained and picked over
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the topping (optional, Cheddar Bay style):

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crab filling:
    • In a small bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, cream cheese, green onions, Old Bay, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the biscuit dough:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
    • Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    • Stir in milk until dough just comes together.
    • Gently fold in shredded cheddar.
  4. Assemble the stuffed biscuits:
    • On a floured surface, roll or pat dough to about ½-inch thick.
    • Cut into squares or rounds (~3-inch diameter).
    • Place about 1–2 tsp of crab filling in the center of each piece.
    • Fold dough over and pinch edges to seal completely.
  5. Bake:
    • Arrange biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake 15–18 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Optional Cheddar Bay topping:
    • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
    • Brush over warm biscuits right after baking.
  7. Serve:
    • Enjoy warm as an appetizer or alongside soup or salad.

If you want, I can also give a shortcut version using store-bought biscuit dough that makes these just as tasty in half the time.

Do you want me to share that quick version?
