Say less 😄 These are dangerously good and super easy.
Cheesy Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 4–6 sausages (pork, chicken, or beef — your call)
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional extras (highly encouraged):
- 1–2 tbsp mustard or ketchup
- Garlic powder or onion powder
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds
- A pinch of black pepper or chili flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prep the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut it into long strips wide enough to wrap around a sausage.
- Assemble:
- Lightly spread mustard or ketchup on the pastry (optional).
- Sprinkle cheese along the center of each strip.
- Place a sausage on top and roll it up snugly.
- Seal & cut: Brush the edge with a little egg wash to seal. Cut into bite-size rolls or leave long.
- Egg wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg. Sprinkle seeds or seasoning if using.
- Bake: 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly (if you can resist) and serve warm.
