Here’s a simple, from-scratch recipe for Chocolate Crunch Bars (like homemade Crunch bars, but even better):


🍫 Chocolate Crunch Bars (From Scratch)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for smoother melt)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chocolate
    • Use a double boiler or microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
    • Stir in coconut oil or butter if using.
  2. Add the Crunch
    • Gently fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.
  3. Shape the Bars
    • Pour mixture into a parchment-lined 8×8 pan.
    • Spread evenly and press lightly to compact.
  4. Chill
    • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm.
  5. Cut & Enjoy
    • Lift out using parchment and slice into bars or squares.

🔥 Optional Upgrades

  • Add ½ tsp vanilla extract.
  • Mix in chopped nuts.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before chilling.
  • Swirl in peanut butter.
