Classic Cherry Delight
Ingredients
Crust
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp sugar
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
Topping
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Make the crust
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
- Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Prepare the cream layer
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping.
- Assemble
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
- Spoon cherry pie filling over the top.
- Chill
- Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is even better).
- Serve
- Slice and serve chilled.
