Here’s a classic Dorito Taco Salad recipe—crunchy, savory, and always a crowd-pleaser 🌮🥗


Dorito Taco Salad

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water

Salad

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1–2 cups Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch), slightly crushed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup diced red onion

Optional Toppings

  • Black olives
  • Avocado or guacamole
  • Jalapeños

Dressing

  • 1 cup Catalina dressing
    (or French dressing; ranch is also popular)

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef
    • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Drain excess grease.
    • Add taco seasoning and water; simmer 5 minutes.
    • Let cool slightly.
  2. Assemble the salad
    • In a large bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cheese, and optional toppings.
    • Add the seasoned beef.
  3. Add crunch & dressing
    • Just before serving, toss in crushed Doritos.
    • Drizzle with dressing and gently toss to coat.
  4. Serve immediately
    • Best eaten right away so the chips stay crunchy.
