Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:

  3. Make the custard:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
    • Gradually whisk in milk until fully combined.
  4. Assemble the pie:
    • Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust.
    • Lightly sprinkle ground nutmeg on top, if desired.
  5. Bake:

    • A knife inserted in the center should come out mostly clean.
  6. Cool and serve:
