Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes

This easy slow-cooker recipe makes tender, flavorful potatoes using onion soup mix. It’s a simple side dish that pairs well with chicken, beef, or grilled foods. (The Magical Slow Cooker)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, thinly sliced (about 6–8 small potatoes)
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix (about 1 oz)
  • 1/3 cup olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (StolenRecipes.net)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker
Lightly spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick spray.
  2. Add potatoes
Place the sliced potatoes into the slow cooker, arranging them evenly.
  3. Season
Sprinkle garlic powder, pepper, and the onion soup mix over the potatoes.
  4. Add oil
Drizzle olive oil evenly over the potatoes.
  5. Cook
Cover and cook on HIGH for about 4 hours until the potatoes are tender. Try not to open the lid during cooking. (The Magical Slow Cooker)

Tips

  • You can also use red potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes instead of russets. (The Magical Slow Cooker)
  • Slow cookers won’t make the potatoes very crispy, but they will be soft and flavorful. (The Magical Slow Cooker)
  • For extra flavor, add paprika, cheese, bacon bits, or sour cream when serving.

✅ Prep time: about 20 minutes
✅ Cook time: about 4 hours
