Posted on January 23, 2026 by Admin

Ohhh yes 😏 the party dip that disappears first.
Here’s a bold, melty, no-apologies Texas Trash Dip—perfect for game day, potlucks, or “I made this for myself” nights.

🤠🔥 Texas Trash Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or spicy sausage)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel (drained)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1–2 jalapeños, minced (optional but encouraged 🌶️)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Green onions or cilantro, for topping

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat
Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned. Drain fat. Stir in taco seasoning and set aside.
  2. Mix the base
In a large bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, Rotel, onion, and jalapeños.
  3. Layer & cheese it up
Spread mixture into a greased baking dish.
Top with seasoned beef, then sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the top.
  4. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  5. Finish strong
Top with green onions or cilantro. Serve hot.

🧀 Pro Trash Moves

  • Swap beef for chorizo
  • Add black beans or corn
  • Drizzle with hot sauce or salsa verde
  • Make it extra trashy with a Cheez Whiz swirl

Serve with tortilla chips, Fritos Scoops, or straight off a spoon (no judgment).
