Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Optional: sour cream, mayo, or yogurt

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, add garlic.
    Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Season it up
    Stir in paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    Add tomato sauce and simmer 5–7 minutes until juicy but not watery.
  3. Warm tortillas
    Heat in a dry pan or microwave so they’re soft and bendy.
  4. Assemble
    Add beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce of choice.
  5. Wrap & toast (optional but 🔥)
    Roll tightly and toast wraps seam-side down in a pan until golden.
