Ingredients (Serves 2–4):

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4–6 large tortillas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 2–3 tbsp sour cream or yogurt (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Beef
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add onions and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.
    • Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula.
    • Sprinkle paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook until beef is browned and cooked through (about 7–10 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Warm the Tortillas
    • Wrap tortillas in foil and warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5–10 minutes, or heat briefly in a dry skillet.
  3. Assemble the Wraps
    • Lay a tortilla flat. Add a scoop of beef, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream or yogurt.
    • Fold the sides in and roll tightly.
  4. Optional Step – Crisp It Up
    • Place the wrapped tortilla back in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side for a slightly crispy finish.
