Here’s a simple, delicious recipe for classic baked potatoes—crispy outside, fluffy inside:


🥔 Classic Baked Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Russet potatoes (best for baking)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt (coarse or regular)
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, bacon bits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven
    Set your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Prep the potatoes
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes well.
    • Pat them completely dry.
  3. Season
    • Rub each potato with olive oil or butter.
    • Sprinkle salt all over the skin.
  4. Pierce
    Use a fork to poke each potato 4–5 times (prevents bursting).
  5. Bake
    • Place directly on the oven rack (or on a tray).
    • Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size.
  6. Check doneness
    • Insert a fork or knife—it should go in easily.
    • Skin should be crispy.
  7. Serve
    • Cut open, fluff the inside with a fork.
    • Add your favorite toppings.

🔥 Tips:

  • For extra crispy skin, avoid wrapping in foil.
  • Want softer skin? Wrap in foil before baking.
  • Add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.
